I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday. The school year is moving along and the first semester of this academic year will end January 17, 2014. As we move towards the end of first semester, it is important to monitor your child academic progress closely.
The following suggestions may help your child be more successful:
Check your Homebase Parent Portal regularly
Monitor homework completion
Encourage your child to spend more time studying
Encourage your child to attend ASAP or teacher tutoring sessions
Contact teachers or counselor if you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress
Review teacher webpages (PBWorks) to find upcoming projects, tests and due dates
Monitor your child’s attendance closely
Encourage your child to use all academic resources (Study Island, Khan Academy, etc…)
With only a few weeks remaining in this semester, it will soon be time to prepare for final exams.
Enjoy your Winter Break and return focused and ready to ace your exams!
