WCPSS will put new practices into place for the 2014-15 school year with the goal of improving yellow bus service for families. The changes are aligned with the opening of the new school year, and include community outreach to drive the number of last minute student enrollees in the district down, and setting a cutoff date for requesting and receiving transportation on the first day of school.
Attention Juniors and Seniors! Off campus lunch applications are now available online. Completed applications will be accepted on Monday, August 4, 2014 for seniors and on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 for Juniors. The cost is $10.00
Students who do not get passes during these times must wait until after August 25, 2014. Passes will not be issues the first day of school.
Students may not leave campus for lunch on the same day their lunch pass is processed. Lunch passes will only be issued on Wednesday.
Students must clear all fines and fees before they can purchase the off-campus lunch pass.
Parents who wish to avoid standing in line for the process may have their signatures notarized. Otherwise, parents must come to Knightdale High School and sign the application in the presence of school personnel.
Students and parents are responsible for securing transportation. Juniors are reminded that parking will be limited. Only students with a valid parking tag should park on campus. Towing will be enforced.
Off-campus lunch is a previlege which may be revoked for disciplinary infractions.
The first day of each semester, senior parents sponsor a Senior Breakfast to celebrate the start of senior year! We have 375 seniors to feed.
Food:We are asking parents of seniors to bring in food or items according to the first letter of your child's last name; as noted in the signup form (link below). Each parent should bring enough items to serve at least 24 students.
Gift Cards: If you prefer to contribute money instead of (or in addition to) food, we will accept gift cards to purchase additional items as needed. Please place gift cards in a sealed envelop marked "Senior Breakfast" and deliver to the Main Office by Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
Volunteers: We will need VOLUNTEERS to set up, manage food/tables/lines, and clean up after the event. Volunteers should arrive by 8:15 am. Breakfast will end at 9:30 am.
*Non-perishable food items and paper products may be dropped off by Friday, August 22 between 8:00am-3:00pm. Please label items "Senior Breakfast"
*Fresh fruit/hot biscuits, etc. may be dropped off by 8:15 am (morning of) August 25th.
