Mentors (OPTIONAL)
Students need real world experience to complete their Graduation Project. Mentors have the experience that students need to learn from. Hopefully, students will get the chance to experience the enjoyment mentors have in that field and make it their own future profession. Although Mentors are optional, WCPSS highly recommends that students work with experts that have real world experience.

Parents
Parents and Guardians play a special role in their student’s Graduation Project. Students need guidance to clearly execute the project in all areas: meeting deadlines, writing papers, doing research, completing set goals and tasks, finding positive and trustworthy community members to work with, etc. As a parent / guardian, you hold the similar responsibilities that a Teacher and a Mentor holds. Sometimes you may need to act as a liaison, or bridge, between students, mentors and teachers. Your main objective: to make sure your student has positive interactions and an engaging experience while working on the Graduation Project. This also is a great opportunity for you to show your student something that you have knowledge or expertise in. Enjoy the time you have to share!
