Students must prepare and present a 7-10 minute, formal oral presentation as an analysis of his/her process and self growth from topic selection through project completion. The presentation is given in front of a Review Panel of Judges.
The judging panel has the same “oral presentation evaluation” form provided through this web site. Students are graded on several different criteria that fall under one of three main categories: Content, Verbal and Non-Verbal Elements. Each criteria has a maximum of 5 points. Students need to score a 42 or higher to successfully pass the presentation.
Presentations are made during the Fall Semester of the Senior Year (between November and February). If a student fails to pass the presentation portion, they have another chance to present again in the Spring Semester before graduation. Judges will give descriptions of the areas that a student needs to work on (or change) to successfully pass the presentation.
