The School-To-Career Program (STC) at KHS assists students in preparing for the global workplace. It encompasses three major components:

• School-Based Learning
• Work-Based Learning
• Connecting Activities

Within these components, students learn and develop skills in the following categories:

• Hard Skills : Higher Skills in mathematics, problem solving, occupational skills.
• Soft Skills : Ability to work in teams, communication, career management.
• Ability To Use A Personal Computer to carry out basic tasks, i.e. word processing.

Interested in a health science career?  The HUSKINS Program at Wake Tech may be the answer.  Opportunities are available to sign up to take evening classes in the following areas: Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Science, Medical Assisting, Medical Lab, and Nursing Assistant.  Pick up an interest form from Ms Lawrence in Student Services.
